The Dos Pueblos High School Foundation was formed in 2016 to support the educational pursuits of students at Dos Pueblos High School, a public high school in Goleta, California.

OUR CHALLENGE

The DPHS Foundation is committed to helping raise needed funds to continue to improve the public high school experience and to help bridge the gap between public school funding and the true cost of a comprehensive and high-quality education.

Dos Pueblos High School is highly regarded for its academic programs, which include Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, Dual Enrollment (in partnership with Santa Barbara City College), English Learner, Career Technical Education, Honors, and Special Education courses. DPHS serves a diverse population of over 2,000 students in grades 9-12, consisting of 46% Hispanic, 41% White, 7% Asian, 2% African American, and 4% other races. In 2021, approximately 38% of DPHS students are identified as socioeconomically disadvantaged.

The reality is that the cost of living in Goleta/Santa Barbara is 98% higher than the national average, and 41% higher than the State of California average, leaving many DPHS families struggling to provide even minimal educational opportunities for their children.  Support from families, alumni, and the business community is critical to ensuring students, teachers, and staff have the tools they need for success inside and outside the classroom, and that our students continue to experience the nationally recognized academic excellence provided at DPHS. 

This year, the Dos Pueblos High School Foundation is hosting two fundraisers​: the Charger Champions Fall Annual Fund and the DP Foundation Spring Fundraiser. We need your help and support to make these programs successful.

CHARGER CHAMPION CIRCLE

The Dos Pueblos High School Foundation ​Charger Champions Circle is our annual giving program, which helps support the school’s overall needs, which vary year to year.  Funds raised by the Foundation serve the gap between the amount the State of California and the Santa Barbara Unified School District allocate to DPHS, and the actual yearly operating income needed to sustain DPHS’s academic success and facilities operations.

DPHS FOUNDATION SPRING FUNDRAISER EVENT

The Dos Pueblos High School Foundation's Spring Event, A Night on the Boardwalk, is an annual community event held in the spring to help raise needed funds for DPHS through business and community funding.  With food, drinks, silent and live auctions, dancing and more, this is one event you do NOT want to miss!

CLARA THOMANN SCHOLARSHIP

The Dos Pueblos Foundation is honored to announce the Clara Thomann Scholarship Fund, established in 2025 by the Dos Pueblos Foundation in partnership with family and friends of Clara Thomann, who passed away unexpectedly in December of 2024. In recognition of Clara’s passion for educating the next generation of leaders in the sciences, the Clara Thomann Scholarship will be awarded annually to Dos Pueblos High School graduates who intend to pursue post-secondary studies in any area of science. ​
